Comprehensive Client Database:The CIMSability client database incorporates DEN specific client data fields facilitating a single data source regardless of whether an organisation is focused on DEN or offers multiple services.

DEN Evidence Collection:CIMSability utilises a matrix of pre-configured, weighted answers to maintain consistency in the recording of client evidence. Support entries are managed per client, per domain and are based on the four pillars of evidence: “Direct, Client, Secondary, Other”. The ability exists to attach unlimited, detailed notations on both the domain and individual evidence records.

Seamless Integration: Progress Notes & Evidence DEN Evidence entries are integrated within Progress Notes. In addition to evidence collection, Progress Notes record staff times. Times can be allocated to ‘Direct Support’, ‘Indirect Support’, ‘Assessment’ or ‘Travel’. Leveraging both client and staff activity based data delivers a highly effective administration providing case managers essential DPI/DMI submission data as well as providing agency management with vital staff utilisation analysis, such as how much time is spent in travel or on indirect support tasks such as administration.

Workflow: CIMSability is extremely valuable as a workflow instrument. Question and answer selections throughout the application can be configured by the individual organisation. Once established, CIMSability users can rely upon the structured content to follow an industry and organisation standard workflow. Questions and available responses are laid out in sequence avoiding data collection errors and omissions.

Flags: Flags are used to alert staff and/or management to an issue relating to a client which needs attention. Flags can be colour coded and used according to the organisations nominated procedures. Flags are shown in multiple locations, both within the DPI/DMI and/or Progress Notes section. Staff will love this particular feature as it fosters a greater awareness of individual client needs.

Aggregate Support Determination: Responses to questions of evidence carry weightings, which are configurable. CIMSability utilises these weightings to calculate an aggregate support requirement for each question for a DPI/DMI submission. This feature is a significant time saver for case managers whilst increasing accuracy by achieving a statistical outcome rather than a generalisation.

Evidence Authorisation: The ability to authorise DPI/DMI submissions locks down evidence reported for that period establishing an audit trail for lodged evidence whilst ensuring any backdated entries do not taint a prior submission. Specific DEN security settings allow organisations to assign appropriate personnel privileges for maximum flexibility, for example...

  • Ability to authorise DEN evidence
  • Ability to change client revising dates
  • Ability to allow progress note override

Colour Coding: Colour Coding within CIMSability increases awareness and adherence to evidence collation standards.

  • Evidence Required: allows sites to tag specific responses as compulsory, ensuring case managers do not omit critical information for successful DPI/DMI lodgements.
  • Same Pillar: Highlights questions where evidence derives from a single source i.e. a skewed outcome.
  • One Record of Evidence: Alerts case managers to questions where a single record of evidence exists which may be unsatisfactory to complete an accurate assessment.

Colour coding assists CIMSability sites in establishing their own best practice standards in the derivation of their empirical evidence collection. CIMSability is a modular application. DEN Evidence Module sites will require the CIMSability Foundation Module.
